As I write, most WIs have submitted their subs for the year 2026-2027. I know it has sometimes been a difficult task this year so thank you for your efforts.
I am happy to report that the roll out of online banking was greeted with much excitement by many of you, has been enthusiastically embraced and overall is working well. (Just a couple of reminders:) BACS INFO: Please don’t forget to send your follow up email with as much detail as possible about the payment as soon as that payment is sent. Application forms will be sent out as usual, when paying online this can be filled in, photographed and emailed. Or downloaded from website, saved and scanned and emailed to office. Or just email requirements separately but you MUST include contact details. It could be posted to office as usual! Whichever method you choose must be sent as soon as bank transaction is completed.
There have been some general queries raised: Online banking does not require the usual 2 signatories for transactions but if you wish to have that back-up, double authentication for transactions can be set up with your bank. If you do not wish to do this then the Treasurer should regularly present, for signing, a copy of the bank statement at WI committee meetings. Also, some Treasurers are doing their WI’s banking and keeping of accounts online. It is important that someone else is able to access these in the event of Treasurer being unable to do so.
If your WI and Treasurer wish to continue to use cheques for transactions then you may do so for as long as this is possible!

Finally. Treasurers will have received by email a request from Rosie and Julie to let them know how they can best offer the traditional workshops. Please let them know. They are keen to deliver what you find most helpful.
