The committee welcomed Judith Kirby and Barbara Bainbridge to our October meeting and am sure they will make a valuable contribution to the work of the committee.
Plans were finalised for the Christmas Multi Craft Day on Saturday November 28th. So, get your applications in by c/d of November 10th. £35.00 pp…a bargain!
There were a number of ideas for 2027 which are being followed up and after our next meeting in January we will be able to share with you.
The first event of 2027 is:
- A Hape Zome Workshop.This literally means “leaf dye” and is a Japanese eco-printing or natural dyeing technique. This involves transferring coloured pigments in leaves and flowers onto paper or fabric to produce surprisingly detailed prints.
Judith Kirby will be your tutor and she will demonstrate the technique before you practise yourselves to produce a card and/or bookmark to take home. All materials and equipment are provided.

Time. 10 for coffee and a 10.30 start. Finish. 12.30.
