Hello Ladies, and already we’re well through the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness….
Must admit that it’s my favourite time of year, although the mists sometimes cause big problems on journeys home after WI meetings, and the mellow fruitfulness has provided sufficient apples for purees, sauces, pie fillings and crumbles to fill the freezers to capacity this year.
The black/coloured tights are on, and will increase in density and warmth from now until the white leg reveal next Easter, and I’ve suddenly realised that it’s actually time to make the Christmas cake (I refuse to make a pudding for only two who actually like it…that’ll be bought and suitably ‘doctored’)
WI wise, we’ve had lots of early requests for our Advisers to attend your Annual Meetings – thank you – and we’re coming to the end of those for this year. It was a pleasure to see so many at the RGS for Autumn Council, and we’re fortunate to have lots of excellent events to come in the next few weeks…we have a great and lively Federation in Northumberland.
