It was lovely to see so many of you at the RGS for our Annual Council Meeting and I hope that you enjoyed it as much as we did. If you didn’t manage to attend I’ll repeat my thanks for the response to last year’s Membership Support Committee Appeal for maintenance funds. Your WI contributions amounted to over £4,500 which has enabled the downstairs lighting at Cresswell House to be replaced, with funds left over to begin the lobby and upstairs lighting replacement. It’s much appreciated, and truly amazing what can be achieved by working together!
Our recent “Proper Programme Planning” sessions were very successful too, and please remember to send in your ‘clouds’ (or lists) so that we can get some varied and interesting meeting ideas sorted…more working together!
No doubt your current meeting planning involves the dreaded ‘C’ word. At my own WI Committee Meeting the idea of knitted crackers has been aired….let’s be honest, it could only happen at WI!!!
