Membership Support – December 2023

Thank you, to all WIs who have responded so quickly to our request asking for an Adviser to attend your Annual Meeting. To date almost half of the WIs in this Federation have done so which is a great help to us. The sooner you send in your request the more likely you are to have an Adviser at your Annual Meeting.
This is the final time that I write in the Northumberland News as I am now stepping down from chairing this committee and indeed retiring from being a WI Adviser. It is a role that I have thoroughly enjoyed for many years, meeting lots of wonderful people and making many new friends but I feel that the time is right for me to step aside and let someone else take the helm. I’d like to thank all WIs from the bottom of my heart who have welcomed me to their Annual Meetings.
I have always done my best to support and encourage WIs especially those who are in the north of the county and have thoroughly enjoyed my many years of service. However I feel that it is time for a change and I leave Membership Support in the very capable hands of Moira Bengtson. I would like to thank my fellow Advisers who have always given me their support, loyalty and encouragement over the years. I shall miss you all.

National Annual Meeting: Arrangements are progressing. We would remind WIs that the WI share of delegates’ expenses will be based on Federation membership numbers on MCS at the beginning of February. MCS Reps should ensure their membership records are up to date.
