In memory of Pat Horn – Alison Anderson
We wish to honour the memory of our most longstanding member Pat Horn. Pat was a member of the WI for over 70 years having joined Alnmouth at age 14 where she served as president. She has been an integral member of Longhoughton and Boulmer WI for many years.
Pat was an accomplished pianist and had been musical director for the Hotspur Players which included WI members. She was a fantastic knitter and won a WI gold star for a shawl she made. She is remembered for being great fun with a dry sense of humour and will be greatly missed.
At a stall in Earsdon – Carole Swinyard
Earsdon and Wellfield WI had a stall at the Red Lion Christmas Fayre, in the village of Earsdon, on 11 December. There was a very good variety of goods for sale such as Christmas Wreaths, decorations and
gifts, and of course, mince pies, scones, cakes and knitted and crocheted goods. Although the day was very cold and damp, customers were attracted by the variety of items on offer.

To mark the occasion of their 5 year Anniversary, Dinnington Village WI planted a Rowan tree on the outskirts of the village.

Bamburgh WI is looking, with optimism, at 2022 and is once again offering to any WI who is visiting our local area the chance of resting their weary feet in the very comfortable Bamburgh Pavilion whilst enjoying our renown Bamburgh WI lunch or tea.

2022 Subscriptions: WIs would have already received an email confirming the subscriptions for 2022. There is no increase and WIs are able to apply the flexibility policy to the WI portion of the 2022/23 subscription. Please ensure your affiliation forms with your cheque is sent to Cresswell House no later than the end of April.
