The great ladies of the Craft Committee present their final offerings for the year, yes I know its still technically high summer in mid-July (I am currently in a thunder storm!), but we need to give you time to get organised with your commitments to craft events.

So, we have the 2 Day Crewel Needlework Course in September with Marion Fairless. You will learn & practise a variety of different stitches before putting them into practise and creating a fabulous Embroidery. Closing date is 9th September. Yellow form is out

In November we are joined by Lisa Kenny who will teach us how to Needle Felt and create 2 different Needle Felted animals with our newly acquired skills. Closing date also 9th September. The yellow form is out.

Next, we have our very popular all day Christmas Multi Craft Day, priced at £35, 10 for 10;30 start with coffee and a biscuit then off you go to the craft sessions, which covers 3 different crafts including Card Making, Wire Baubles & Fondant Reindeer and of course the now famous Craft committee lunch, on 30th November, closing date on November 5th at noon. All of the planned sessions are suitable for complete beginners as well as ladies with a little more experience and each one includes all of the materials you will need as well as expert tuition making these events excellent value. Come along and start your festive build up with us at Cresswell House. Then we introduce you to our new adventure Festive food, fizz and a fantastic door wreath. There will be two workshops on Saturday 7th December which are wreath making accompanied by festive food.  The morning session will be 9.30am registration with wreath making commencing at 10am for approx. 2.5 hrs.  This will then be followed by a wonderful treat of festive food, sweet and savoury plus a glass of fizz (non-alcoholic of course so everyone can enjoy it). The afternoon session will work in the opposite way.  Registration from 11.45am with festive food and fizz from 12.15pm.  Your wreath making will follow at 1.30pm for approx. 2.5 hrs. These workshops are led by Alison Scrimshaw supported by Jen Dover.  Both experienced and skilled ‘flower ladies’. Everything will be provided for your wreath making including moss, foliage and a range of festive adornments. You will take home a fantastic door wreath fit to welcome all visitors into your home over the festive season.
