The committee have 3 events planned for the autumn:
An Introduction to Blackwork Embroidery. Date: This is a 2 session event. Friday 17th and Monday 20th October. Venue: Cresswell House. Time: 10:00 for a 10:30 start, finish at 15:00 (bring a packed lunch). Cost: £30 pp for the 2 sessions. The course will be led by Marian Fairless who will teach you basic Blackwork techniques and you will complete a sampler (Day 1) and a small decorative piece (Day 2). All fabrics, yarns and hoops will be provided and included in the price for these tasks. Closing date: 30th Sept (application forms with your Secretaries)
The Making of Marzipan Fruits. Date: Saturday 22nd November. Ann Lake will demonstrate the making of Marzipan fruits.
Christmas Table Decoration. Date: Saturday 13th December. Alison Scrimshaw’s demonstration will be a Christmas table decoration
Full update on the kitchen tech will be available very soon, we are just waiting for an installation date from the Electrical company.
