By the time most of you read this your Link Delegates will be back from the Annual Meeting in Bournemouth. I am sure that all the delegates will have enjoyed the experience and whether your delegate was “brand new” to the task or an “old hand” at the job they will give you an excellent report of all that happened.
I hope that you have noticed that on page 10 of the May issue of WI Life there was a photograph of the hats and blankets knitted by members of Warden in Hexham WI. Well done ladies and keep up the good work.
I have already attended several WIs as your Chairman and I thank them all for their wonderful hospitality. Maybe I should stop eating for the days I am not out to compensate for the fabulous suppers (not something I am really likely to do is it?)
The Board of Trustees has co-opted Dorothy Sowerby (Newbrough WI) on to the Board and I know she will be a fantastic addition so long as I can stop her, Hilary and Sue all sitting together like the naughty girls on the back row at school!
In your Secretary’s mailing this month there is an application form for the first Chairman’s Natter for Northumberland Coffee Morning as mentioned in the last Newsletter. Please come along to meet me and some of the Board members and raise some money for the Federation.
Please look in this month’s Newsletter at all the exciting events coming up and make sure your applications are received at Cresswell House before the closing date as it is very disappointing to have to cancel an event.
