Poems for the WI

For the past two years Widdy Woods member, Rosie Thompson, has been writing a poem every month and reading them to an appreciative audience at the WI meetings. Poems are mainly about the Widdrington/Druridge area, or on topical issues such as the 2024 General Election, The D Day Landing Commemorations and Climate Change. She has had a selection printed in a booklet which costs £3.  All the money raised will be donated to the WI, the RSPCA, and the Morpeth Centre for people with Visual Impairment.  Anyone interested in purchasing a copy should e-mail  Rosie at: rose-thomson@hotmail.com    Numbers are limited so first come first served basis.
