Norham WI President Opens St Cuthbert’s Summer Fair
On Saturday 20thJuly 2024 our President, Connie Kirby, had the great honour of opening St.Cuthbert’s Summer Fair at Norham Village. Norham WI celebrated it’s 100th anniversary in 2023 and since those early days our WI has played a very important role within the local community. Aside from organising our own community events such as an annual Soup & Sandwich lunch, a Beetle Drive and running a weekly Craft & Chat club for both members and non-members, our ladies are always at the forefront when it comes to helping at events organised by the villagers. This was very apparent at the Summer Fair on Saturday when a lot of the stalls were manned by WI members.
As the history of both the village and our WI are very much intertwined it was wonderful for our President to be asked to participate in this way.
