Wow, just Wow, what a fabulous event today at Newcastle Cathedral, approx 500 of our ladies joined the Salvation Army brass band and sang their hearts out.
Thank you to all who came, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
The readers – Janet Holt (Longhoughton & Boulmer WI), Joyce Willis (Hexhamshire WI), Helen Fenwick (Old Hartley WI) and of course our own Marj Read all did a sterling job, and, as for the Rev’d Canon Zoe Heming, her address was just spot on and she certainly had done her homework on what we (the WI) are all about.
Finally, a huge thank you to the Salvation Army band who played for us and who doesn’t enjoy listening to them play..
