Autumn would seem to be upon us. I think I must have blinked and missed the summer.
So, a quick round up of our remaining events for this year.
Between The Covers. This informal event on Monday 13 November, 13.30 where book lovers can share their thoughts on some questions I have posed in the last couple of Newsletters and share a favourite book. The closing date is Tuesday, 31 October. Cost per person £6 which includes refreshments.The ever popular Christmas Beetle Drive will be held at Cresswell House on Wednesday 13 December at 13.30. This year Rudolf will be the guest “Beetle”. Refreshments tea, coffee and, of course Christmas cake and cheese. Cost per person is £7.50. Closing date for applications is Tuesday 28 November.
The Domino Competition final this year is on 25 September between Clousden Hill WI and Kirkley WI. The result will appear on Facebook and in the next Newsletter. Thank you to all WIs who took part this year. It is always good to hear about the enjoyment your matches bring. Start practising for 2024!
