As I write this we are heading for our second ‘official’ heat wave of the summer and I am now about to write those words
Yes, I know its too warm to think about the cold but “forward plan a good WI lady must,’’ so here is your advance warning. Come to Cresswell House on Saturday, 10 December to take part in the Christmas Craft Day. The doors open at 9:45, with coffee/tea at 10. All four sessions start at 10:30. You will be spending a day doing a cornucopia of festive themed crafts, from cake toppers to a floral creation, from an edible wreath to festive card making! What more could you want on a chilly December Saturday? Everything you need to complete the crafts will be supplied; all you’ll need is your packed lunch & some festive spirit…. Oh and have paid £40, so come on find the yellow sheet and sign up. Closing date will be noon on 15 November.
So, ladies, look at the events the hard-working Craft Committee have organised for you – there is still time to book for the Willow Weaving day. Now wouldn’t that be a gift for the person who has everything?
I am hoping that the Next Step Knitting and Crochet went down as well as the Bread Demo, which filled Cresswell house and several tummies with warm soft baked bread…. what a lovely sensation that must have been! There have been calls for a second bread demo, as it was so popular!
I hope to see you at our Autumn planned events after you have soaked up the glorious rays from the very hot sun, in which I do hope you are taking precautions!
Best wishes for a glorious summer the Craft Committee
