The Craft Committee held their meeting in mid-March to work on the next set of events with which to tempt you.
Look out for in future mailings the new cookery demonstrator who is going to do a Saturday session on breads where you’ll get to see the whole process and taste the gorgeous creations.
There is going to be a next step in knitting for those ready to move on from knit 1 purl 1, plus a next step in crochet for those desperate to move on from long chains, as well as ‘get to know your sewing machine’, where you’ll learn what that odd-shaped foot really does do! Then an introduction to patchwork shapes and multiple ways
to make them.
Plus, we have begun the draft of the Commonwealth Games competition day for September. The work never stops on Federation Committees…
I would like your support for the Queen’s Jubilee themed competition day where the Kathleen Jones Memorial cup will be awarded for best lemon curd. All first-place winners, along with a place card, will get a rosette to display with pride. Thanks go to Edna Moscrop for the very generous donation of rosettes and cups for winners. See picture for the cup, all engraved and ready to go!
