Changes…. I’m sure you all know….or ‘know of’ our amazing Membership Support Secretary Jenny McLean. She’s been the ‘linchpin’ of our team for many years, is the fount of all knowledge Adviser-wise, and has supported every one of us in the past with various difficult situations. Well, Jenny has decided to step back from being an Adviser (after the end of this year) – whilst (thankfully) agreeing to stay on as our Secretary.
Much of this decision was probably influenced by the conditions that your hardy Advisers cope with: the late hours, long journeys, and sometimes difficult weather conditions. The worst journeys are those made in the dark in the later months of the year and that’s where you – our caring members – can help. If your WI has a ‘late’ Annual Meeting could you perhaps think very seriously about changing it to an earlier month? It simply means making one shorter ‘year’accounting-wise, then continuing with a normal 12 month period after that and would be much appreciated by all of us. We love coming to see you, but would love it even more if it was during the kinder months for travelling.
