Ladies, it’s getting to that time of year when we, as treasurers, are going to be super busy with the taking in of subscriptions for the new WI year, which starts on April 1st, so if ladies haven’t paid by then they are technically notmembers and MCS should be amended to show this. Firm but fair!
The Federation % and the % for National comes directly to Federation office asap, (£25.90+70p pooling of fares totalling £26.60) if this splits your subs collection due to your books requiring auditing in prep for your annual meeting, please seek out the guidance given by Rosie Harden-Vane, in the missive she sent out via Secretaries about this very topic.
Thanks to Rosie for being super helpful all year to all Treasurers, Rosie along with Margorie Goodchild audit the Accounts for a multitude of WIs, and I can reflect on from personal experience, they are always happy to help, guide or in my case correct my submissions…!
Can Barbara and I extend our thanks to the treasurers who had responded to our multiple enquiries about payments – an admin blip for which we apologise.! Also can we remind you that no invoices/receipts have been issued from the office and they won’t be until the new financial year when we hope something like normal service will be re-instated…I stress we hope..! bank statements will act as your receipts in the short term.
One final note for the soon to be exhausted treasurers, name on cheques- if you are submitting a cheque to Federation please remember to write in full ‘Northumberland Federation of WIs’, as I have been summoned to the bank to collect ‘rejected’ cheques because they don’t have our correct details on, please ladies try to reduce my call backs !
