As I write this the Autumn sun is just a bit too low in the sky whilst driving home from the dog walk, the leaves are starting to collect, not enough yet to tromp through like a child but getting there. It really is the start of the season of mist and mellow fruitfulness.

The Willow Weaving Day filled Cresswell House with joyous creations. Well done all who took part and thanks to Victoria from the Willow Barn who helped everyone achieve an orb. Ok some were more orb than others but that’s creativity for you!
Our next all-day event is the Christmas Craft Day on Saturday 10 December, where you will do ALL FOUR crafts, so please move quickly to get a place. All you will need is a packed lunch.
Can I STRONGLY suggest you don’t leave applying for events until the last moment, as with the escalation of postal strikes, the post is getting a little more erratic. I have already experienced applications arriving too late for the events closing date, ladies not even getting into the ballot to get a place. Unless you are going to physically push the envelope through Cresswell House door before closing date, give an additional week for it to arrive, better early than too late.
The Craft Committee are tightening up the plans for 2023. It’s going to be an exciting time, bringing you more things to have a go at, as well as bigger events when you can learn more complex crafts or smaller multiple things in a day, we look forward to seeing you soon. It was also my great pleasure to take the knitted hats from September Competition Day themed on the Commonwealth Games and donate them to the People’s Kitchen Charity for gifting to those who need of warmth as winter approaches. Thank you to each lady who entered the competition. I was super proud to donate on your behalf.
