Jesmond Cemetery Walk

On Thursday 7 September 2023 join us for an interesting walk in this old cemetery, the resting place for many famous local people.  Jesmond Old Cemetery is a Victorian cemetery in Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom, founded in 1834. It contains two Grade II listed buildings and seven Grade II listed monuments as well as the graves of dozens of notable people from the history of Tyneside.There are many interesting (and large) headstones.  There are few established footpaths, and the ground can be muddy.  Unfortunately, it will not be suitable for wheelchairs or members with mobility problems.  The walk will be approximately 2 hours with tea, cake, and biscuits in the lovely South Lodge.  The price is £8.
