Seven Ways to make Flying Gees Patchwork Unit

The Flying Geese Block is very versatile and is incorporated into many patchwork projects. Some of the techniques are ideal scrap busters whilst others lend themselves to making more blocks quickly. Included in the session will be Pre-cut Fabrics to enable you to practise each of the techniques, you will also receive instructions for each technique plus a bonus pattern. complete a Patchwork Block which can be turned into a Cushion, Bag or incorporated into a Quilt.

You just have to bring your sewing machine that is in GOOD working order with a new needle already in position. Bring all the sewing feet that come with your machine. See Northumberland News for fuller details.

The class will be run by a very experienced talented and skilled tutor Kim Suleman from Six Penny Memories is well known on tv and around the quilting world for her skills, so you will be learning from the best.! The course will cost £20, all fabric, zip, button and interfacings, tea and coffee. The date is to be 20 April 2023 at Cresswell House starting at 1pm for 1:30, finishing at 3:30 approx. PAT testing will be done if needed at 1am, you will be contacted after closing date to confirm if you require PAT testing to be done. Closing date for applications will be noon 4 April so get those yellow sheets sent in as quick as you can, the session will be limited numbers but will be repeated if needed.
