DESCRIPTION:  \nCome and meet the lady featured on the front cover of WI Life in December 2022\, Karen Auty who is described as the “pasta maker extraordinaire!” \nShe will be in the Federation demo kitchen at Cresswell House on Saturday 17 August at 10am for a 10:30 start. For up to 2 hours\, she will talk about her skills\, business in pasta making as well as demonstrating her beautiful coloured decorative and no doubt tasty pasta. She will bring with her some ready-made dough and hand boards for anyone who wishes to have a go… Now that sounds like an event not to be missed! Cost is £17 per person. Closing date is noon on 30 July 2024. This event will be a fundraiser to buy and install screens in the kitchen. \nCANCELLED (sadly\, due to lack of numbers)

DESCRIPTION:Following the success of last year’s venture with Newbrough WI\, Netherton WI have a planned a walk and lunch in their area of Northumberland on Thursday 20 June 2024. The walk is moderate and covers 5 miles with one slight incline and is on tracks and a short distance on a quiet road. There will be the possibility of turning back at any point. Enjoy the beautiful countryside and learn something of the area. Do you know Biddlestone quarry’s claim to fame? Come at 10:00 for tea and coffee and the walk starts at Netherton Memorial Hall at 10:30. Afterwards there will be a savoury and sweet lunch\, which will reward your efforts.
