In the demo you will see all the stages of creating beautiful warm aromatic breads\, you will be able to ask questions about what you see as well as takes notes if you so wish. Provided with this demo will be a full recipe sheet to take away. This demo will give you floury baps\, rosemary & cheese tear and share as well as sesame seed rolls. What a way to spend a morning. DESCRIPTION:Come to Cresswell House on 16 July to enjoy a morning in the floral workshop creating a long arrangement themed on ‘Summer’.  The team of Alison Scrimshaw and Susan Tilt will guide you step by step through the creating of a beautiful arrangement. Please bring your scissors and an apron. The mechanics and foliage will be provided along with plenty of hints and tips to improve your skill/knowledge.  You will also need to bring flowers to suit your colour scheme of 7 large headed flowers (possibly roses\, carnations or gerbera) and a bunch of coordinating filler flowers (spray carnations or spray chrysanthemum). Then upon completion you can come down to Cresswell Café and have a summer themed lunch with a little something to quench your thirst after such hard work!  All skillfully prepared by Sue Malloy and her team. SUMMARY:Subscriptions - Due April 2022
DESCRIPTION:Dear WI Treasurer Subscription 2022/23\nThe NFWI Board of Trustees has set the membership subscription for the 2022/23 membership year at £44.00. This means there is no change from the current membership year. The distribution of the 2022 subscription will be:\nTotal subscription 2022/23 £44\nWI share£21.60\nFederation share £10.30\nNFWI share £12.10\n\n\nPayments will be due from members in April 2022. To be sent to the Federation Office at Cresswell House by 30 April 2022\nThis subscription takes into consideration the National Council vote taken with all federations on 6 September and ratified by the NFWI Board on 29 September 2021.\nEach year the NFWI applies flexibility to its membership pricing. The NFWI Board looks at what is needed financially for the year ahead but then identifies ways in which these costs can be absorbed\, or money raised in alternative ways to avoid applying these costs to the membership fee.\nAs with previous years\, the NFWI Board explored a range of options\, looking at how it can operate flexibly and pass as little of the charity’s costs on to members as possible. This year a range of options were presented to members of National Council to vote on. The NFWI Board is always keen to listen to member perspectives and the opinion of federation representatives and work in partnership with all levels of the organisation. It is hoped that this level of engagement and partnership across the organisation will help prepare us for the years ahead and life after COVID-19.\nIncorporated in England & Wales as a Company Limited by\n\n\nPro-rata subscription for new members in their first year\nNew members joining the WI from April 2022 for the first time\, or who have not been members of any WI in the past year\, will pay a pro-rata subscription depending on the quarter in which they join. The rate per quarter and the distribution are shown in the following table.\nDate of joining 2022/231 April-30 June\nTotal subscription £44\nWI share £21.60\nFederation share£10.30\nNFWI share £21.10\n\n\n1 July-30 Sept\n£33.00\n£16.20\n£7.73\n£9.07\n\n\n1 Oct-31 Dec\n£22.00\n£10.80\n£5.15\n£6.05\n\n\n1 Jan-31 March\n£11.00\n£5.40\n£2.58\n£3.02\n\n\nNew WIs starting in 2022/23 New WIs starting from April 2022 will keep all of the subscriptions paid by their members in 2022/23 membership year.\n\n\nFlexibility Policy WIs are able to apply the flexibility policy to their 2022/23 subscription. This means they are able to charge the full amount of the WI portion of the subscription\, reduce their portion of the subscription or waive the WI portion of the subscription entirely. Dual Membership Dual members will pay the WI portion only to their second WI. If the WI is not utilising the flexibility policy\, this will be £21.60. There is no pro-rata rate for dual membership\, and the set fee will remain payable at any time during the year.\n\n\nPooling of Fares 2022\nThe NFWI Annual Meeting pooling of fares for 2022 is set at £16 per WI and £32 per federation. New WIs formed in 2022\, from April\, before the NFWI Annual Meeting\, will pay the pooling of fares contribution.
