Meeting Point:  the United Reform Church\, Market Place.  NE65 7UW.  Coffee & cake available at 10:00 for a 10:30 start.   Wall walkers will start together but can choose to split if you are up for something more strenuous. \nYou will need to come prepared with appropriate footwear and clothing for any weather and a bottle of water. \nAn easy 4.5 mile walk by the river\, using paths and short stretch of road (one slight incline) \nThe other walk of 5.5 is rougher and more strenuous and can be muddy.  A 100m ascent is rewarded with wonderful views. \nLunch will be available back at Rothbury.   Closing date 30th May  Cost:  £14 per person

DESCRIPTION:Following the success of last year’s venture with Newbrough WI\, Netherton WI have a planned a walk and lunch in their area of Northumberland on Thursday 20 June 2024. The walk is moderate and covers 5 miles with one slight incline and is on tracks and a short distance on a quiet road. There will be the possibility of turning back at any point. Enjoy the beautiful countryside and learn something of the area. Do you know Biddlestone quarry’s claim to fame? Come at 10:00 for tea and coffee and the walk starts at Netherton Memorial Hall at 10:30. Afterwards there will be a savoury and sweet lunch\, which will reward your efforts.
