The Craft Committee is based around 12 hardworking dedicated volunteering ladies who have skills/interests in crafts, food and flowers, and all that it entails. We now need some more committee members. Could that be you? We meet on a regular basis up to 4 times a year, to plan and discuss what we can offer to the Federation membership, (there is always cake) either based on our own skills or on those of external tutors.
To ensure you are not out of pocket your mileage for attending meetings is paid.
We plan the day’s activity and one of us will act as ‘host’ to the tutor, meeting/greeting the attendees as well as making sure the tutor has everything needed for a successful day, including any Covid19 precautions like cleaning down tables.
We are also responsible for any competition days, planning the schedule to make it as attractive as possible for the members. On the day we set out the layout, we act as stewards for the judges then supervise the visitors as well as deal with any queries about how judging is done.
Craft Committee does smaller events of less than 12 attendees, like the paper cutting we have planned this year. This means as part of the Committee you get to see and learn a lot about different crafts within our remit.
So, would you like to think about joining us? If so, email to kacoleman1@outlook.com or phone the Office. We can have a chat initially then meet up at Cresswell House with other committee members to see how you like us, but really it will involve tea and biscuits if not cake!
The Craft Committee are sad to lose another member, as Enda Moscrop, who has been the bringer of many a good idea but has decided to focus on other things at this time.
