The Craft Committee will, hopefully, by the time you read this, have had our first meeting, which will have been lots of chatter, cake and forward planning. Can I just remind you of what we have planned so far, once we can start to be active again? I need to stress that whatever National guidelines are Craft Committee events will be carried out with some restrictions in place. For example, lower numbers, more room, open windows, the wearing of masks inside the building until we are sat ready to start a session plus, we will be very respectful of the Covid / cleaning policy the Federation currently observes for events taking place.
So, ladies we are offering in September – Paper Cutting themed on animals and also themed on flowers, cookery demos with Sue Malloy themed on food from your holidays, then the quiche master class.
In October we are offering the Fish Friday food demo with Sue and the repeat of the quiche master class workshop. On the theme of Halloween, we have a floral workshop with Alison Scrimshaw.
Please try to support us as best you can – until WIs are meeting in their own locations you can apply directly to the Office to book a place. If an event is oversubscribed, it will go to ballot and everyone successful or not will be rung so ensure your details are correct when you book.
Next month our Festive themed events will be announced… I know you think it’s too soon but the lead in time is long so that everyone, regardless of where they live or when their WI meets, has equal and fair access to event information.
So, ladies it’s the middle of July as I write this. I do hope the events go ahead and we can all start to join together to be ‘ordinary’ again. Stay safe, be kind and be considerate.
